There are several ways you can use olive oil to help treat your constipation.

To get things going take a tablespoon on an empty stomach.

  • Take a tablespoon when you first wake up and then take another tablespoon of olive oil right before bed. Make sure that the olive oil you’re taking is 100% pure, extra virgin olive oil.
  • Take this remedy until your constipation is cleared up.

Olive Oil and Fiber

Taking olive oil with a fibrous diet is a sure way to get things going and to get the health of your digestive system back on track.

  • When starting your day, take a teaspoon of olive oil followed with an orange or apple, which will contribute to your required serving of fiber.
  • Try cooking your meals throughout the day with olive oil.
  • For dinner, make sure you add fiber-rich vegetables such as broccoli.
  • When snacking on fruits and vegetables, drizzle some olive oil on them to help keep you regular.

Mix Olive Oil in Your Drink

One of the easiest ways to quickly consume olive oil is to add it to your coffee or juice.
